MINISTRY
CHILDREN
KPC values intergenerational worship and ministry, and children are a vital part of that. Each Sunday our children worship alongside adults in the sanctuary and participate in a children’s sermon before heading to their respective classes. In addition to interactive Bible teaching in an age and development appropriate class, children participate in the movement zone, a sensory rich environment that prepares the body and mind for learning.
Classes
Nursery: A fully staffed nursery, located on the main level just past the stairway, is available throughout the Sunday morning service for children ages 0–1.
Pre-school: Children ages 2–3 meet in a classroom on the main level at the end of the hallway.
Elementary: Children in kindergarten–grade 5 meet in an open room in the basement. There is also a sensory room and a calming room available in the basement, right off the open room.
Special Needs Ministry
KPC recognizes that not all children interact with the world in the same way. We strive to provide an environment where all children can thrive, regardless of their special needs. We desire that our worship time and children’s ministry be accessible to all children.
Intergenerational Worship
Approximately once a month, typically on the last Sunday of the month, children stay with adults in the sanctuary for the entire service, which is designed for children’s involvement.
