Biography

DAVID CRAMER

Known as Brother Dave to congregants and neighbors, David has been pastoring at KPC since 2017. He is also the managing editor of the Institute of Mennonite Studies at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana, where he occasionally teaches theology courses as well. David has a passion for proclaiming the difference the Christian faith makes for how we live and move in the world and for making the church a welcoming place for all people, wherever they find themselves on their faith journey. He is the coauthor (with his friend Myles Werntz) of A Field Guide to Christian Nonviolence: Key Thinkers, Activists, and Movements for the Gospel of Peace. In addition to teaching and preaching, David enjoys cooking large meals for the neighborhood and spending time on the riverwalk with his spouse, Andrea, their two kids, and their dog, Stanley.

Susannah Larry

Susannah is interim assistant pastor at KPC. Her “day job” is as assistant professor of biblical studies at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. Susannah is passionate about reclaiming the Bible as a Word that speaks life and freedom to us whatever struggles we may encounter. She’s the author of Leaving Silence: Sexualized Violence, the Bible, and Standing with Survivors and a forthcoming book on forgiveness and trauma. Born a predestined Presbyterian and now a convinced Anabaptist, Susannah is grateful to share the mission of seeking God’s just peace with the people of KPC. As a pastor, Susannah especially enjoys having meaningful conversations, preaching, and helping to feed God’s people. Susannah shares life with her three young girls and her husband, Michael.

Biography

Jimmy and Katie Bennett

Jimmy and Katie serve as worship coordinators at KPC. In this role, they work with the pastors to coordinate worship services and lead worship on a regular basis along with a team of talented musicians and vocalists. They have a long history of leading worship, including during their time at Bethel College (now University) in Mishawaka, Indiana, where they met and were involved in music ministry teams and the chapel band, respectively. Jimmy is the choir director at Concord High School, and Katie teaches Spanish at River Montessori High School. They stay busy at home taking care of their two young kids and their dog, Molly.

Stephanie Swanson

Stephanie has been serving as the board chair at KPC since 2021, following a year of serving on the board as secretary. In this leadership role, her focus is on facilitating the inner workings of the church in a smooth manner so that the church can focus on its mission of sharing God’s love with our neighbors. Stephanie works as a nurse at the county health department with a passion for ensuring that those with inadequate resources are served. She also enjoys baking, running, and spending time with her three kids and husband, Ashley.
